Hulu just premiered the new comedy series 'Mid-Century Modern', starring Nathan Lane ('Dicks: The Musical)', Nathan Lee Graham ('Priscilla Queen of the Desert') and Matt Bomer ('Fellow Travelers'), including the late Linda Lavin ('Alice') in her last role in television, with the show being a posthumous release.
The series is by writers Max Mutchnick and David Kohan ('Will & Grace'), who developed the script for KoMut Entertainment, 20th Television and Ryan Murphy Television who are the producers of this comedy, where we follow Bunny (Lane), Arthur (Graham) and Jerry (Bomer), three gay friends in their 40's who decide to move to Palm Springs to Sybil's (Lavin) house, Bunny's mother, who comes from a wealthy family.
We'll get to know them and their relationships as well as the challenges they face both in and outside the house, talking about aging, expectations, and other current themes through a comedic lense with iconic comedy actors that know just how to deliver a good laugh.
'Mid-Century Modern' has 10 episodes, all currently streaming on Hulu, with James Burrows as a director, who has been doing comedy for decades upon decades, so everyone involved with this knows what they are doing.
Currently, it has a 94% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes with only 17 reviews, but it's only official premiere day, so it's only a matter of time until the number grows larger and the audiences opinion enters the picture.
