The Idol: Trailer 2 is out

Trailer 2 for The Weeknd's 'The Idol' series now available

It was announced a long time ago that The Weeknd teamed up with HBO Max to bring 'The Idol' series to the public. Thus, Abel Tesfaye (The Weeknd) has shown his fans and the public that the only thing he is good at is not only music, that is why he has become the protagonist and co-creator of the series that is soon to be available on the streaming site. According to the previews and images that are already available, the series will delight many audiences.

The first season will consist of six episodes that have been filming for a year. In fact, The plot of the series will tell the story of a satire about 'the sewers of Hollywood'. In other words, they will tell us all about the music industry in the city of Los Angeles. Lily Rose Depp stars alongside The Weeknd. She will play a pop singer who begins a relationship with the owner of a club in the city, who is also the leader of a cult.

On the other hand, one of the stars of the band BLACKPINK is in the series, Jennie, and although not many details are available yet, the singer will be in all six episodes of the series and according to IMDB, her character is Anys. From what we see in the previews of the production, Jennie is part of the musical environment in which the protagonist, Jocelyn (Lily Rose Depp), finds herself.

The Idol was born out of talents such as Levinson, Tesfaye and Reza Fahim. Initially Amy Seimetz was the director, but her departure entailed certain changes. Still, the series continues to move forward and recently released the second trailer for the series, announcing its upcoming premiere.
