New Line Cinema has been sharing some creepy CCTV footage for the upcoming film 'Weapons', and finally, we have an official teaser for the new horror movie by Zach Cregger, the director of 'Barbarian'.
'Barbarian' was a pretty polarizing film, with people absolutely loving it or completely hating on it, and now Cregger is coming back with a more dramatic and less comedic take on horror following the stories of multiple families in a community when a group of kids simply disappears overnight.
Distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, 'Weapons' will hit theaters globally on August 8, 2025, starring Julia Garner ('Ozark'), Josh Brolin ('Sicario'), Austin Abrams ('Euphoria') and Alden Ehrenreich ('Solo: A Star Wars Story').
Expectations are high for this film, so let's just wait that it can live up to the expectations of the marketing campaign instead of falling flat like it happened with 'LONGLEGS', that had so many people mad about how "not scary" the film was in comparison with the promo for the film.
The teasers seem to want to convey a feeling of uneasiness, almost liminal, with these faceless kids running away from their houses and into the night, specially witht he CCTV and found footage quality of them, so let's see how interesting this horror mistery happening in the same universe from 'Barbarian' turns out to be.
