But even though the news about the movie were out there from months ago, and even the premiere date, for November 2026, the casting process was taking its sweet time until now, finally, that we know the two faces that will be bringing these characters to life.
The story will happen in between the original trilogy and the prequel, 24 years before we get to know Katniss Everdeen, and we will follow Haymitch, Katniss's coach, when it's his turn to be tribute and go through the games.
Last movie 'The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes', starring Rachel Zegler and Tom Blyth, was a complete success for the franchise and amassed great reviews by everyone, so expectations for 'Sunrise on the Reaping' are especially high with the book gathering inmense praise online by fans of the franchise.
