After Radio Silnce Productions original horror film 'Ready or Not' made over $50 millions worlwide on a $6 million budget back in 2019, 'Ready or Not 2' is coming to us starring Kathryn Newton and our final girl Samara Weaving.
It's been 6 years since the premiere of the first installment, the role that solidified Samara Weaving as a Scream Queen and made people on the internet turn head over heels for her, and after months of negotiation and uncertainty, it's a fact that she's reprising her role as Grace, our beloved Final Girl.
Only this time she won't be alone, and horror princess Kathryn Newton is gonna be front and center with her in an unknown role.
This will mark the second collaboration of Newton with filmmakers Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, after being in 'Abigail', that premiered last year, while Samara Weaving will be reuniting with them for a third time, after her cameo in 2023's Scream VI.
Both Matt and Tyler are coming back to direct the second installment, but the details about the screenplay are not public yet, and after the type of finale we had for the first, there's not much idea about were we might be heading with the film.
And since casting is going on right now, we might hear about filming soon enough, although it's unlikely is gonna happen in the first half of the year. We're probably gonna get 'Ready or Not 2' in 2026 as the soonest option.
At the moment, this is the only project Radio Silence is working on as far as the public knows, with only Guy Ritchie's 'Fountain of Youth' that's premiering on Apple TV later this year. So we can just wait and hope we hear some news about 'Ready or Not' soon enough.
