From Shinji Higuchi, one of the directors behind Shin Godzilla, comes 'Bullet Train Explosion' a remake of the 1975's film 'The Bullet Train' by Junya Sato. The film is coming to Netflix's streaming service this April 23.
Just like the original movie, we will follow the stressful environment of a group of people inside a train heading to Tokyo after they find out it's going to detonate if it slows below 60 miles per hour, killing every single person aboard, all of this while the person behind the bomb is asking for ¥100 billion if they want him to stop it from going off.
Keeping a cool head in a high velocity vehicle that can't stop, full of bombs, it's not easy and we're gonna follow different characters and how they react ot this situation, while the crew of the train and the government authorities are racing against a ticking clock to save everyone and difuse this bomb.
The appeal of 'Bullet Train Explosion', of course, is that after almost 50 years, technology has changed and improved greatly, meaning the things they can do to up the stakes in this remake can be very interesting, specially since this time around they were able to get the East Japan Railway Company support on the production, getting access to units and facilities while filming this movie.
Make sure you add this to your watchlist if you're a action thriller fan, since this will be right up your alley.
