After releasing on 2024 to broad critical acclaim as one of the year best comedies, 'Nobody Wants This' is coming back for season 2 with Leighton Meester ('Gossip Girl') and Miles Fowler ('Bottoms') joining the cast.
The season 2 production is starting this March, and it's going to premiere later this year, with all the season 1 coming back, including of course, lead actress Kristen Bell and lead actor Adam Brody. The first season currently holds over 90% of positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and the actors have been nominees all through the award season for the Comedy TV categories, so it's not a surprise that they're moving fast into the new season.
And in case you're familiar with the show yet, the comedy follows Joanne, a vocally Agnostic podcaster about dating and sex life, with a feisty personality and a strong system of beliefs, and her relationship with a rabbi, so we have to follow the happenings of this unlikely and charismatic couple charged with a lot of chemistry.
Leighton Meester, according to Varierty's exclusive, will be joining as the former middle school nemesis of Joanne, now a mommy influencer in her adulthood, and we will be seeing a lot of her through out the season. Meaning the animosity between them might be even stronger now that they are such different types of adults.
You still have a lot of time to catch up to the first season if you haven't seen it yet, and before the years end you'll have the new season waiting for you.
