Björn Hlynur Haraldsson was born in Iceland on 8 December 1974.
His first role was as Guðjón In Reykjavik Guesthouse: Rent a Bike (2002) before landing a leading role alongside Daniel Brühl in Kóngavegur (2010).
After playing the lead role as police detective Helgi Marvin in both mini-series Hamarinn (2009) & Hraunið (2014) he gained more fame after his role as Trausti Einarsson in the murder mystery series Ófærð (2015).
